Mr. Wilkins is a graduate of Duke University, Durham, North Carolina (Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering – 1969), Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan (Masters of Business Administration – 1978, Finance) and Vanderbilt University School of Law, Nashville, Tennessee (Juris Doctor – 1986). He was Editor-in-Chief of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law.

Upon graduation from Vanderbilt, Mr. Wilkins joined the law firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae as an associate in the Utilities/Environmental Law Department. During his six year tenure at LeBoeuf he worked on various utility regulation, environmental and insurance regulatory matters. After leaving LeBoeuf, Lamb, He joined with Gregory R. Preston, to form the partnership of Preston & Wilkins, in 1995.

As a member of the firm of P&W, he provided advice to both individual and corporate clients, which ranged from contracts for the purchase of real property to sophisticated mergers and acquisitions. He has litigated to verdict actions based upon breach of contract in employment. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, and the New Jersey, New York and Connecticut State and Federal Bars.
